Giving Back

When I was in grade school, I was always excited when guest speakers visited my classroom. Officer Friendly (a local police officer) and a dental hygienist who gave us toothbrushes (and the red pill to see where we needed to brush our teeth) are among the most memorable. I vowed that when I became an adult I’d do the same.

I serve my local community by participating in Career Days and Reality Stores/Reality Days at grade, middle and high schools. Proactively talking to youth about career options will reduce confusion later in life. I welcome the opportunity of supporting such events as my gift to students.
